Chaos and Shiva are favourites in this batch. Shiva especially when I'm going barefaced and want a pop of colour on my face.

Swatch: NYX Round Lipstick in Paparazzi, Lip du Jour, Rose Bud

Pinks! Not what I usually wear unless I'm going for a pastel or sweet look.

Swatch: NYX Round Lipsticks in B52, Saturn, Topaz

At any one time, one of these colours are in my handbag and makeup bag. These are my go-tos when I can't really be bothered choosing a lipstick colour. B52 is actually the first NYX lipstick that I ever bought.

Swatch: MYX Round Lipsticks in Ulysses, Protus, Brown Sugar, Pinto Bean and Iris

First group of swatches from my NYX Round Lipstick Army! I wear Protus a lot, either on it's own or layered over too-pink lips. Iris is too pale for my dark lips as a lipstick but I do use it as a sheer layer over lipbalm.

I'm a huge fan of NYX Round Lipsticks. They're pigmented, and moisturising for my dry lips. There seems to be mixed reviews on the moisturising factor as some of my friends say that the formula does nothing for their dry lips whereas it really does work wonders for myself and for some other beauty bloggers out there. These lippies don't last very long though, and they definately don't last through a meal. I find myself reapplying at least twice throughout the work day. I don't have an issue with that at the super pocket friendly price these lippies are sold at (about SGD6 each) and I do check my makeup several times a day, but I do see how having to reapply would be a bugbear for busy busy women.

Swatch: NYX Round Lipstick in Lip Du Jour

Day 4 - NYX Round Lipstick in Lip Du Jour, one of their 2011 Summer line. Its a sheer baby pink, and appears quite frosty. I won't wear this alone a lot as it's not very forgiving on my dry lips. The frostiness comes from microglitter in the lippie which settles into the cracks and creases of my dry lips.

Swatch: NYX Round Lipstick in Protus

Forgot to post this up yesterday! Day 3 of my no-repeat lipstick challenge sees Protus on my lips. The colour is a coppery-brown and quite pretty. I don't wear this colour that much on its own. I tend to layer this over other colours as it is a bit sheer.

Swatch: NYX Round Lipstick in Shiva

Day 2 sees me wearing one of the brightest NYX lippies I own. I love love love this colour, it's not crazy bright pink like OCC Anime. It's a great pick me up for a washed out face, which I have pretty much all the time now since Ilan still hasn't learned to sleep through the night!

Much love for this colour. I've already worn it  couple of times in the last few weeks and have gotten a lot of compliments on it as well as requests to purchase for them the next time I buy NYX!

Swatch: NYX Round Lipstick in Mars

This is Day 1 of my No-Repeat Lips February! Today is a very fuss-free makeup day as I started off being all flustered and slightly late for work since darling Princess Evie decided that she wanted to ignore me during wakeup time and take an extended snooze!

First up is NYX Round Lipstick in Mars. I didn't purchase this lippie for myself. It actually belonged to one of my girlfriends who decided that this colour didn't suit her tastes and traded me for NYX Doll. Neither one of us regrets the trade!

I love the creaminess of this lipstick, and it's kind of a my-lip-colour-only-better kind of shade so this is perfect when I want a nude kind of look. My lips tend to be on the dry side and this colour is very forgiving and won't appear blotchy, which is the tendency of some of the sheerer NYX lipsticks that I have.

Very minimal makeup today. Just plain ol' moisturiser followed by my trusty powder concealer, a dusting of silk powder. Blush used is the Autumn limited edition blush from Body Shop in Berry.
What I really want to show off today are the red lips! I don't naturally gravitate to reds. I'm more of a berry/wine/burgundy kind of girl and red to me kinda screams for attention. But today, I was in a more daring mood and went for the red lips, since I didn't really feel like putting on the eyemakeup too.

I like this colour a lot! I thought that red would wash me out or be too aunty but amazingly this didn't do that to me (of course, only in my own opinion. Others around me might think differently!)

Wearing this colour got a lot of comments from my students though. Mostly "Ma'am, why your mouth so red today!" To which I just retorted something along the lines of drinking student's blood hahah. I love teaching my students. I get to joke this way with them, we have a good laugh, then we get down to the business of study.

So anyway that's my lip for today :)

Mini Haul and Swatches: NYX Round Lipsticks in Shiva, Chic Red and Peach Bellini

Hi all! It's been a long while since I last posted, but you will be hearing more from me now that I'm back at work and can steal time over lunch or break to blog! Chasing around two kids at home means I'm barely on my computer and the only way I was keeping up with anything was with my wonderful, awesome, gorgeous Samsung S2 on twitter, email and facebook!
So anyway, a couple of months back I got these round lippies when I saw the NYX Summer collection. Me being me, I wanted to get all of them just because I love colours, but I restricted myself to these three which are colours that I can see myself wearing and are at least a little bit different from what I already own.

As always, I love the creamy consistency of the NYX round lipsticks. I find them to be quite moisturising for my lips and quite pigmented. They don't last that long, usually after about 2 to 3 hours I will need to touch-up but I'm not going to complain as these babies are quite cheap at about SGD4.50-5.00 each.

Lip swatches to follow in the next few days as I give these babies a long-awaited test run! So far, Peach Bellini is the only one that has gotten any wear as I find it such a grab and go colour :)
