Ok guys and girls, I think I've apologised countless times for not posting here. Thankfully, my workout/fitness regiment hasn't suffered from the same neglect as this blog and I'm happy to report that I've been sticking to my guns and kept at it. I'm eating better, though there's much to be improved and I'm working out about 3 times a week. My body is responding well and I can see the difference. Not on a day to day basis, of course, but the little things add up so when I take stock every couple of weeks, I can tell my body is in better shape than it used to be.
So what's been going on? I've just been really busy at work. The pile of stuff to do never seems to go down. The faster I clear it, the more stuff seems to get dumped there. I'm sure you guys can relate! Also, I'm gonna be moving to a bigger apartment really soon sometime in the next month. So I'm running around to sort out the renovations that need to be done on the new place as well as packing up bits and pieces around the house to get ready for the move.
My next couple of posts are probably going to be about food. I've got a few ideas nattering around in my head, I just need to find the time to sit down and draft them out!
See you guys in a few days!
XOXO

Inspiration: 22 March 2013
Very true for me. I can't count the hours that I've wasted thinking about doing a workout instead of just getting up and doing it. It just gets easier once you get moving. Sometimes the first set is really really hard to do, but once my muscles have warmed up and I'm feeling all limber, I'm just raring to keep going.

Sushi Bomb!
So apparently, sushi isn't as healthy or good for my diet as I thought it was. Cheat my feelings!

Reboot
Sorry for having been gone for so long, loves! It's been a long big rough patch personally and professionally and I just didn't have the time or energy to update this blog while scrambling to hold everything together. Thankfully, things have sorted themselves out nicely, I'm back on track and I mean to keep it that way.Fitness wise, I think I'm in the best shape that I've been in a long time. I've got my strength up, and I'm judging my success by how handsy my hubby is *giggle*. More pic updates and whatnot to come!
Love,
Farrah

Swatch: Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Curious
I'm attempting to sort through my stash little by little to declutter and I'm swatching along the way so that I can see what shades I've got. That way I can sort out the duplicates and clean up a little.
I'm tackling my Sleek eyeshadow palettes first and this is the first one I grabbed. Curious isn't on their permanent line but you can still pick it up on EBay.
On to the swatches!
I love this palette! It's got enough variety of colours to stay in my makeup pouch everyday for simple looks for work. I think my least favourite colour of the whole bunch is the yellow. It simply applies to chalky for my liking. My favourite? That's got to be the olive green! I have a huge huge huge love for greens these days :)
Another palette swatch in the next few days!

Check-In: Setbacks and Restart
Heya peep! I've been missing for awhile and I gotta say it hasn't been a good couple of weeks on the ProjectHotMama front. I came down with a really bad case of either stomach flu or food poisoning and basically spend slightly more than a week throwing up most of what I ate and pooping water. The whole thing left me quite weak and even after the toilet adventures were over, it's taking me awhile to get going again.
It's amazing how time passes so quickly. I stopped working out for the week that I was best friends with my toilet bowl because frankly I had no energy to do anything else. Then I recovered and told myself I'd give it a few days for my system to recover and I'd jump right back into the workout.
A few days quickly turned into a two weeks of no workout. Work is slightly crazy this time of year and it was so easy to say "Oh I've had a hard day at work, I think I need a break. So I guess I'll workout tomorrow".
Couple that with the fact that I'm someone who eats when stressed. "It's ok for me to eat the potato chips, I'm gonna be working out again tomorrow."
Recipe for failure.
It was so hard for me to get started again today. First was that sense of utter hopelessness when I stepped on the scales and saw that my efforts had practically gone to naught, with my weight back at what it originally was. This feeling of "why bother if it's so easy to go back again?" started to set it.
And then I thought back a bit. Yes, my weight is back to what I started at, but my clothes still fit better. So guess what? It's not all bad! I'm that little bit more muscle and less fat!
I almost cried thinking about working out again for the first time, and it took every ounce of discipline to force myself to finish. By the time I was done though, I was starting to remember how good working out had made me feel before.
I was severely tempted to restart and start posting again as Day 1, but that would be lying to myself. It would be a lot more useful to me to list my whole journey together with my setbacks and failures.
So yes, I'm back. And I'm gonna go at it hard again.
See you soon!
